Cool sixth-plate daguerreotype of a suave, almost cocky-looking gentleman.  Quite handsome and stylish, he has curly dark hair and a well groomed beard.   He wears a fashionable outfit with light pants, a dark jacket and checkerboard vest, and a plaid tie to round out the ensemble.  His lovely watch pendant is also visible just slightly below his waist on the right side.  The image is in excellent condition with very nice tones and contrast.  There is a light band of perimeter tarnish and a few small spots.  The plate had old seals intact and it has now been resealed with a new glass.  It is housed in a full case.
